The Mulks are back! From the creators of „Faulty Brides” comes yet another Estonian comedy „What a Mulk”, based on the first ever Estonian play. Screenwriter Ott Kilusk adapted this funny story for the big screen and made the author Lydia Koidula herself as one of the main characters.
Two young men have just professed their love for young Lydia who now goes to the countryside to stay with good friends and make sense of her feelings. Instead of finding peace she ends up in the middle of passionate events. Maie, the most beautiful girl in the village, is also torn between two suitors – honest Mulk Märt and sly Enn. Her heart beats for Märt, but her greedy father Peeter does not approve of Märt, because he has always hated the Mulks. Funny incidents and romantic intrigues are mixed with the fight for land and fortune. So Koidula’s excitement and village love games combine in this colourful story.
