The African savannah is full of hazards — particularly for a meerkat. Tafiti ought to know this. When, to his family’s dismay, he brings home a clumsy red river hog named Pinsel, tragedy strikes: Grandpa is bitten by a poisonous snake. To save him, Tafiti sets out across the desert in search of a legendary blue flower said to have healing powers. Pinsel follows him resolutely, and the two become inseparable during this perilous adventure.
