BFM 20 sünnipäevalinastused: Üksi ja koos

At the end of March, Tallinn University's Baltic Film, Media, and Arts School (BFM) will celebrate its 20th anniversary! To mark the occasion, 14 exciting student films will be selected from the extensive archive to be screened together on the big screen at Cinema Artis. Among the filmmakers are quite a few big names in today’s film scene, making it a great opportunity to see how much progress has been made or what early signs of success were already visible.

There will be a total of three screenings:

„From life and dreams“ - 24.03 19:00

„Alone and together“ - 29.03 14:00

„Different perspective“ - 30.03 14:00

All films will be screened with English subtitles. Each screening will have a short Q&A session with the filmmakers at the end.

The second BFM 20th anniversary screening, "Alone and together", features five student films that illustrate the charm and pain of life, dealing with the challenges we face both alone and together.

Olga

A film novella by Kaur Kokk about a lonely parking attendant trapped in isolation and striving to remain human in an absurd world. Ninja

A short comedy film made as a group project by film students. It tells the story of Johannes, a schoolboy with a vivid imagination, who is in love with Ivonne, the most popular girl in class. Recover connection

A short film by Raoul Kirsima that tells the story of Uku, who enjoys new tastes and physical pleasures—a kind of reflection of our own inner animal. My Dear Corpses - An Oscar-winning student film that tells the story of Erki, who, in order to care for his bedridden mother, takes the first available job—working as a corpse transporter. The situation becomes even stranger when he meets a long-time employee who sees it as just another day at work.
