The short film collection "The Power of Thought" consists of short films made by the students of Kinomaja Film School, focusing on smaller and larger actions that linger in people's minds. The young filmmakers explore the magnitude of power, the strength of a child's words, historically familiar dilemmas, and the heartache known to us today.

The films screening are either the first or second works of these young directors.

"Red Ribbons" dir. Sten Erik Soomre The Middle Ages. Estonian forests are mysterious — witches lurk, and spirits haunt within them. The only thing that offers protection against them is red ribbons. Ott knows that it is wise to wear a red ribbon when entering the forest's secrets. Kalev thinks it's mere folklore. They are both put to the test when a strange girl arrives, a girl who is interested in the ribbons.

"Almost" dir. Gloria Põllu The film tells the story of a boy whose daily hobby has become stealing. He almost finds love in his life, and he almost succeeds in pulling off a heist of a lifetime.

"Sin" dir. Marie Teppart Can a person judge themselves?

"Sunflower" dir. Ketlin Kõiv Dedicated to all the small, beautiful souls whose fate is not in their own hands.

"The Child" dir. Mathilda Mänd The film "The Child" tells the story of little Mattias and Mr. Andres. Andres is a quiet old man living alone, but one day, a cheerful Mattias unexpectedly appears at his door, and his exciting and childlike questions change something in Andres' heart
