Haytarma

The film tells the story of the tragic date in the history of the Crimean Tatar nation – May, 18, 1944 – the date of deportation of the Crimean Tatars on the order of Stalin. The pivotal figure of the film plot is a pilot, twice a Hero of the Soviet Union, Ametkhan Sultan. In May 1944, after liberation of Sevastopol, Ametkhan goes on vacation to his hometown Alupka. On May, 18, right before his eyes unfolds the deportation of the Crimean Tatar.
