His neighbour Tereza, an older prostitute that Filip tries to avoid by all means, asks him to write a letter for her fiancé. Filip agrees. And it would all end up fine if a week later Tereza would not show up at his doorstep again, asking him to write an answer to the previous letter.

TONGUE-TIED - France 2012, 4', dir/prod: Lucrèce Andreae, technique: drawn

FIRST FALL - France 2013, 10', dir: Carlos De Carvalho, Aude Danset, prod: Je Regarde, technique: 3D

Abel lives in the winter and Apolline lives in the summer. Isolated in their "natures", they never met each other. They are not even supposed to meet. So when Abel crosses the border and discovers Apolline, curiosity is overwhelming. Their encounter soon becomes more complicated than they could imagine. Both of them will have to learn compromise to protect the other...

KOUKOU - Japan 2013, 6', dir/prod: Takashi Ohashi, Technique: abstract

"Koukou" is a visual work based on an abstract animation synchronised with a song comprising the unique syllabic sounds of the Japanese language, without actually using any full words.

THE WANDERER OF ST MARCEL - France 2012, 8', dir: Rony Hotin, prod: Jerome Lateur, technique: drawn

In the Parisian subway, a happy homeless in spite of his conditions. Every night, after the closure of its station, its dreams take life...

HOLLOW LAND - Denmark 2013, 14', dir: Michelle Kranot, Uri Kranot, prod: Marie Bro, technique: puppet

With their old bathtub in tow, a displaced couple arrives in a new land, where all is not as they expected it to be. Awaiting the birth of their first child, and in their effort to adjust to an oddly oppressive environment, they are challenged by cultural/gender roles and customs. "Hollow Land" is a brilliant animated film that captures the disruptions, and corrosive anxieties that are part of daily life for so many immigrants, refugees and misfits around the world. Asburd, dark and awkwardly playful; it is an insightful story about humans.
