The Mayans view the universe as a woven tapestry, where each of us is a thread, creating intricate patterns and inspiring stories. Over four years, we have crafted a film about the Mayan calendar, fire ceremonies, and the story of how building bridges between cultures can revive ancient wisdom and reconnect people with their ancestral knowledge.

"Fire Speaks" will premiere in Tallinn at Artis Cinema on June 25th, during the enchanting midsummer period. This film aims to inspire viewers to connect with fire and the elements of nature, urging them to find their heart's path while bridging the wisdom between the Guatemalan Mayan tradition and Estonia.

Logic might suggest that few would go to the cinema during an Estonian summer, but our hearts led us to release this film at this special time. If your heart resonates with ancient wisdom and the cosmic calendar, come and be a part of the Mayan tradition and listen to the message that Fire has for you.

Director Kairi Kivirähk has been researching Mayan-related topics for the past six years. In 2022, she published a book with Varrak Publishing titled "Sacred Time and the Mayan Calendar." Kairi holds a bachelor's degree from the Baltic Film and Media School and a master's degree in Religious Studies from the University of Tartu. She is dedicated to exploring various cultural spiritual practices and religions. This is her first feature-length film, and she hopes to rekindle a connection with nature's forces, experience sacred time, build bridges between different cultures, and inspire everyone to find a path that brings fulfillment and peace.
