EUROPANORAMA 2021 project is presenting selection of newest European short films of different styles and approaches (animation, experiment, fiction and documentary) from young European film directors. The programming offers a glimpse into the contemporary European filmmaking.

Presented by Ljubljana International Short Film Festival and TRANSIT FILM BAZAAR.

A documentary about two brown girls who have been asked “Where are you really from? one too many times. Are you going to find your “real” parents? Therese and Nora have no plans on doing that. They are both adopted from India and came to Norway as babies but have never talked about adoption together. Nora invites Therese inside a box. Here they paint their skin white, teach each other to fight, and try to figure out why it’s so difficult to say out loud “I am adopted!”

To catch her breath back, Kim will have to find a place, to strike a new balance.

ELENA and ARTURO are a couple fully in love until one day, one of their friends sow seeds of doubts in their minds. Philippe reveals to Elena that Arturo is tired of their relationship. He no longer loves her but doesn’t have the guts to tell her. But all is fair in love and war! ELENA will organize their break up herself. Hurt, she hired a young “straight” actor, BASTIEN, to seduce her ex-lover and make him suffer. Elena believes she will be less humiliated if Arturo would accept his “gay predilection” and fell in love with a men, instead of a woman. But the heart has reasons that reasoning doesn’t know…Elena starts to feel jealous, victim of her own trap! Celebrating his gay wedding, Arturo finally discovers Elena’s stratagem and thanks her for helping him realize his “true self”. Sweet farewell gift!
