The Secret: Dare to Dream is a romantic drama based on the groundbreaking 2006 book by Rhonda Byrne which went on to become a global phenomenon, empowering millions to lead happier and more fulfilled lives. The Secret, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, been translated into 50 different languages, and remained on “The New York Times” bestseller list for 190 weeks, teaches that our thoughts shape our reality and that human beings can control their lives with their minds and achieve their desires through the law of attraction.

Miranda Wells (Katie Holmes) is a hard-working young widow, continually struggling to make ends meet in rural Louisiana while raising three children - Missy, Greg and Bess. Miranda is dating Tucker (Jerry O’Connell), whose wealthy family owns the local restaurant where she works. Tucker is in love with Miranda and expresses his affection for the widow and her family through acts of generosity. Miranda, though she cares deeply for Tucker, prefers to maintain her independence and is not quite ready to fully commit. Before long, a mysterious man named Bray Johnson (Josh Lucas) suddenly appears in Miranda’s life to fix her house in the aftermath of a terrible storm. As she gets to know him, the handyman begins to grow closer to Miranda and her family, and he shares his philosophy of believing in the power of the universe to deliver what we want. However, Miranda soon discovers Bray carries a secret connection to her past.

The script is by Bekah Brunstetter (writer on NBC’s hit drama This Is Us) and Andy Tennant & Rick Parks (Ever After: A Cinderella Story) with the story by Bekah Brunstetter based on the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. The film stars Katie Holmes (All We Had, Logan Lucky, The Gift) and Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama, What They Had, “Yellowstone”) with Celia Weston (Knight and Day, The Intern) and Jerry O’Connell (“Billions,” Stand by Me). The film’s producers are Robert Cort (Runaway Bride, Cocktail, 3 Men and a Baby), Rhonda Byrne, Paul Hanson (Oliver Stone’s W), Joe Gelchion, Matthew George (Wind River), and Robert Katz (Law Abiding Citizen).
