Danesh works at a small barbershop, but his true calling is to become an actor. Manfered promises to act as his agent and introduce him to a famous director, if Danesh gathers enough long hair to make a wig. At the same time, murders are being committed in the city. All the female victims’ hair is cut off to the root. Detective Kiani starts to investigate whether the tracks lead to this barbershop.
The wild imagination and tweaked story-telling skill of the director – who has staged several drama performances in Estonian theatres and worked with Estonian theatre actors in Iran – has won the Best Debut Award at the Iran Film Festival this year. The author showed that he is not just a film director, but can also direct life. Instead of himself, he sent an Afghan immigrant to the stage to accept the award and describe the difficult life of his countrymen in Iran.
